[서울=뉴스핌] 고다연 기자 =국방부가 이스라엘과 미국의 이란 공습과 관련해 해외 파병부대의 안전상황을 점검하라고 지시했다.

28일 국방부는 "안규백 국방부장관이 이날 중동 상황과 관련해 동명·청해부대 등 파병 부대의 안전상황을 즉각 점검하고 부대원들의 안전을 최우선으로 고려해 임무를 수행할 것을 국방부와 합참 관련 부서에 지시했다"고 밝혔다.

앞서 로이터 등 외신들은 이날 아야톨라 알리 하메네이 이란 최고지도자의 테헤란 집무실 근처에서 폭발이 발생했다고 보도했다.

수도 테헤란 뿐만 아니라 이스파한과 케르만샤 등 다른 이란 지역에서도 폭발음이 들렸다는 목격담이 나오고 있다. 이곳은 이란의 주요 핵 시설 등이 위치해 있다.

이스라엘은 전국에 비상사태를 선포하고 전시 체제에 돌입했다.

도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 이란에 대해 '대규모 전투 작전'을 시작했다고 밝혔다.

US, Israel attack Iran live: Trump announces ‘major combat operations’

United States President Donald Trump says the US has begun “major combat operations” in Iran after Israel also said it had launched missile attacks against the country.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards says it has launched first large-scale wave of retaliatory missile and drone strikes towards Israel.

Bahrain says a missile attack has targeted the US Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters in the country, while a missile has been intercepted in Qatar. An explosion has also been reported in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, while countries across the region have shut their airspace.

Multiple explosions have been heard in Iran’s capital, Tehran, while blasts have also been reported in several other locations across the country.

There was no immediate official Iranian reaction, but state media is reporting President Masoud Pezeshkian is “safe and sound”.
